Amber Lynn Montgomery, 43 years of age, raised in Hominy, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Amber was born in Pawhuska, Oklahoma on August 6, 1977 to Clark and Katherine Montgomery. She graduated Hominy High School in 1995 and continued her education to receive her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration & Business Management from Oklahoma State University in 2003.
Amber worked as a store manager for Beautyco in Stillwater, Oklahoma for over 5 years while in school. After graduating, she moved to Austin, Texas and was the store manager at Walgreens. While working at Walgreens she supervised 2 of the busiest stores in Austin. She built sales in one of her stores to profit over $1 million a year. Amber was chosen to represent Walgreens at Governor Perry’s mansion for the Texas Women’s conference for 2 consecutive years. One of her stores was also chosen to host the Walgreens president for filming a video to be shared with all employees nationwide. She moved back to Oklahoma and began working at CVS.
Amber is survived by: parents, Clark and Katherine Montgomery; sister, Leigh Glavanovic and husband Mirko; niece, Ema Glavanovic; nephew, Vuk Glavanovic; grandmother, Velma Montgomery Dobbs; aunts, Maschelle Bobbitt and husband Mike, Ivy Higgins and husband Gary, Deborah Nave and husband David; uncles, Nolan Edward Horn and wife Connie; cousins, Kevin Bobbitt, Kaylee Bobbitt, Amanda Higgins, Brandy Branham and husband Thomas, Jennifer Hight and husband Jimmy, Michael Jones and wife Christel, Erin Walden, Amy Countryman and husband Tim, Clifford Hayes and wife Jackie, Cheridy Hayes and spouse Donald Burrell.
Amber is preceded in death by: grandfather, Clark Montgomery; grandmother, Dorothy Horn; grandfather, Nolan Horn; and cousin John Paul Jones.
Visitation for Amber will be from 4:00PM-7:00PM, Friday, July 9, 2021 at the Powell Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:00AM, Saturday, July 10, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Hominy with Pastor Mark Formby Officiating. Pallbearers will be: Mirko Glavanovic, Vuk Glavanovic, Kevin Bobbitt, Clifford Hayes, Cliff Hayes, Tommy Hayes. Honorary bearer will be: Mike Bobbitt. Burial will follow services at the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy.
