Anthony Brian "Tony" Hiltzman, 52 years, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015 at his home in Tulsa.
Tony was born in Austin, Texas on February 04, 1963 to Richard and Carol (Waffle) Hiltzman. He entered into the US Army in the early 1980s and served in Germany. While enlisted, he began his life long career of cooking and attended Frankfort Culinary School in Frankfort, Germany. After leaving the Army, Tony became a chef and worked for the Stouffer Hotels in St. Petersburg, Florida and Nashville, Tennessee. Later Tony owned "Tony's Bakery & Deli" in Hominy, Oklahoma and then went on to work at Texas Star BBQ & Catering in Rockport, Texas. Tony's favorite place to relax was the beach and he loved his dogs dearly. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Tony is survived by: his companion, Donna Gilstrap; 7 children: Jessica, Natasha, Dillan, Amanda, Benjamin, Shannon and Chris; numerous grandchildren; his parents, Richard and Carol Hiltzman of Hominy, OK; 3 siblings: Richard Hiltzman, Jr., Deborah Hiltzman and Tammy Benedict; his great aunt, Betty Mendenhall of Hominy, OK; his uncle, Rick Waffle and his aunt, Marilyn Vandever.
Tony is preceded in death by: his grandparents, Harold and Irene Waffle and his grandmother, Mary Kelley. The memorial service was held at 2:30 PM, Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Hominy, Oklahoma with Jerry Stumpff officiating.
