Barbara Lynn Black
Barbara Lynn (Livingston) Black, 64 years, of Hominy, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
She was born in Tulsa on September 10, 1951 to Eugene Walter and Lillie Mae (Henderson) Livingston.
Barbara worked as a waitress for Knotty Pine BBQ, and enjoyed playing cards, dice and cooking. She made the best fried chicken and biscuits and gravy. Family was everything to Barbara and she loved talking on the phone to her sister Darla Cook. She also loved her dogs and cats.
Barbara is survived by: 2 children: her daughter, Joy Lynn Horton and her husband, Danny Lee, Jr. of Hominy, OK; her son, Roger Glenn Black of Hominy, OK; her stepson, Kevin Avey and his wife Caitlin and their children of Tulsa, OK; her grandson, Zackary Thomas Horton of Hominy, OK; her brother, Charles Livingston; 2 sisters: Darla Cook and Nancy Fulhart, and several nieces and nephews.
Barbara is preceded in death by: her parents; her son, Elmer Patrick Black; her brother, Eugene Livingston Jr. and her sister, Lilia Thomas.
The funeral service was held at 2:00PM, Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at The Calvary Worship Center in Hominy, Oklahoma. Pallbearers were: Brian Jones, Leonard Livingston, Jr., Chris Cook, Ryan Cook, Zackary Horton, Danny Horton, Sr., John Thomas, John Thomas, Jr., and Kevin Avey. Honorary pallbearers were: Danny Thomas, Glenn Black, Charles Livingston, Mark Cook and Trey Owens. Burial followed the services at AJ Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy, Oklahoma.
