Bessie Louise Linville Obituary Bessie Louise Linville, lifetime Osage County resident, passed away September 15, 2010. Bessie was born September 15, 1916 in rural Hominy. Her parents were Mart and Ella (Weaver) Thomas. She graduated from Mound Valley High School in 1934. September 1, 1936 she was united in marriage to Woodrow Linville in Hominy. To this union, four sons and three daughters were born. Bessie was a private person who loved taking care of her home and family. She enjoyed reading, music and sending cards to family and friends. Bessies husband passed away December 1999. They were married for 63 years. Others preceding her in death were her parents, her son Dean, daughter Rosemary, grandson Darren Linville, brothers Mart Jr. and Jimmy Thomas, stepsister Ruby Myers, and son-in-law Gerald Clift. Survivors include her sons Woody and wife Dixie of Sand Springs, Louis and wife Judy of Nowata, Jack and wife Bea of India. Daughters include Louise and husband Charles of Owasso and Norma Clift from Tulsa. She also had 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and 6 step grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers Ellis Thomas and wife Judy of Pawhuska, Tommy Thomas and wife of Bartlesville, and sisters Frances Coffman of Dewey, Kathryn Brown and husband Bob of Ralston and Sue Lewis of Springfield, Missouri, step-brother Ralph Myers and wife Lillian of Wynona and several cousins. Bessie has many friends both young and older and will be missed by all. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 18, 2010 at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Bessies grandson, Reverend Bruce McCray of Elmore City officiated the service. Taped selections were Amazing Grace , One Day at a Time and Precious Memories . Casket bearers were Steve Miller, Travis Linville, Pat Prater, Randy Dildine, Jimmy Thornton and Bob Burton. Burial was at the A.J. Powell Cemetery in Hominy. Powell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangemen
