Betty Jump Kitchen

Betty Kitchen was born on August 3, 1922 in Apache, Oklahoma to Simon P. Jump and Grace E. Mason Jump. She passed from this life on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at her home in Skedee Oklahoma having reached the age of 90 years, 10 months, and 15 days. She married Wayne R. Kitchen on September 14, 1942 in Hydro Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on December 18, 1981. She loved her family and Church, and loved to quilt and play Farkle with her friend Juanita Vance. Betty is survived by: Children:Thurman Kitchen and his wife, Gladys, Pawnee, Oklahoma Carol Lyons and her husband, Gary, Pawnee, Oklahoma Peggy Long and her husband, Howard, Council Hill, Oklahoma Lora Taylor and her husband, Bub, Tonitown, Arkansas Jimmy Richards and his wife, Jean, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Grandchildren:Stephen R. Kitchen, Texas Diana Karcher and her husband Keith, Perry, Oklahoma Quilla Cameron, Idaho Susan Lady, Ralston, Oklahoma Scott Long and his wife, Tania, Guthrie, Oklahoma Terri Scheer and her husband, Todd, Midwest City, Oklahoma Chris Lyons and his wife, Beckie, Morrison, Oklahoma Kara Burnes and her husband, Todd, Pawnee, Oklahoma Tyler Porter, Austin, Texas Jared Porter, Tonitown, Arkansas Tommy Kitchen Jr. and his wife, Jill, Skedee, Oklahoma Jason Kitchen, Cushing, Oklahoma Kasi Lacey and her husband, John, Cushing, Oklahoma Jimmy Kitchen and his wife, Jennifer, Cushing, Oklahoma Brandie Johnson and her husband, Joe, Stillwater, Oklahoma Johnny Lyons, Perry, Oklahoma 44 Great Grandchildren 20 Great-Great Grandchildren Plus a number of other relatives, and many friends. Besides her husband, Wayne, she was preceded in death her parents; her son, Tommy Kitchen; two brothers; three sisters, and a great grandson. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church, Pawnee, Oklahoma, with Rev. Susan Ross officiating. Interment will be at Skedee Cemetery, Skedee, Oklahoma.
