Burney Walker

Burney George Walker, age 76, of Hominy, passed from this life on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at his home. Burney was born on April 29, 1948, at Hominy Theodore Rusty and Geneva Juanita (Lopez) Walker, SR. He was raised and received his education in Hominy, graduating from the school system here. While in high school, Burney was a member of the Hominy Bucks football team.

Burney liked to fish, hunt and being around friends. He appreciated the individuals working at "Meals on Wheels", especially Pauline Hudson. Burney also enjoyed watching sports on television.

Those that survive and hold cherished memories include his brothers - Carl Walker, Theodore Walker, Jr and his wife Carol, Isaac Walker, Bobby and Christopher Walker. He was preceded by his parents, two sisters Shirley Hudson, Lois Walker and four brothers Jerry, Ronnie, Jackie and Randy Walker.

Cremation arrangements were under the care of the Powell Funeral Home of Hominy.
