Carmelita LaCrone, 87, passed from this life on September 19, 2022, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma
Carmelita (Pete) LaCrone was born September 28, 1934, to Dick and Lennus Passmore in Hominy, Oklahoma. Carmelita graduated in 1952 from Hominy High School where she played clarinet in the band and was the high school Football homecoming Queen. After high school Carmelita spent time at the Draughons Business School in Tulsa.
Carmelita met LeRoy LaCrone and they were married on September 30, 1952, at the Nazarene Church in Hominy, OK. They spent the next sixty-eight and half years together. They spent years in Hominy, Nowata, Independence KS and then Skiatook, Oklahoma, where they lived for over forty years.
Carmelita and LeRoy had two children, Beverly and Tony. They also helped raise two other boys, Steven and Bryan Brown. Carmelita was all about her family, if she wasn't involved in their activities then she was out in the garden making sure the family was taken care of. Carmelita spent her life being a homemaker, which is what she did. She was a loving, caring, gentle lady who showered her family with all the love she could. Holidays and family get togethers were always special.
She loved quilting, gardening, puzzles and being with her family. Carmelita loved going to church and spending time in prayer. She believed in God, Country and Family. She was one of the finest Christian women you would ever meet.
Carmelita is survived by her daughter, Beverly and son, Tony. Her brother Pat Passmore. Two grandchildren; Seth and Ross LaCrone; three great grandkids; Macie, Payton and Eliza LaCrone. She is preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy; her parents, Dick and Lennus Passmore; Three sisters; Billie Jean, Clara and Launous along with one brother, Joe Passmore.
