Cecil "Fat'S" Ray Eshelman

Cecil “Fat’s” Ray Eshelman, Jr. was born March 30, 1957, in Pawnee, Oklahoma. He was the son of Cecil Ray Eshelman, Sr. and June (Wright) Eshelman. At the age of 18 he married Becky and they made their home in Pawnee, Oklahoma. To that union one child was born a daughter Kenderly in 1978. When Kenderly was born he fell in love with her and did special things with her throughout his life. Cecil was a jack of all trades. He loved the outdoors and was an excellent wood carver. A friend of many and an enemy to none. His friends were not friends but family and no matter where he was he was able to make friends. Cecil was loved by many. Cecil and the Eshelman family were known to have had a strong presence in the Pawnee community. Cecil loved his daughter and granddaughters, but he had a special bond with Cierra “Vata” his special angel but his other granddaughters was always in his heart. Cecil passed away on Monday, January 5, 2015 in Pawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 57 years, nine months and 5 days. Survivors are his one daughter Kenderly Janell “Little Fat’s” Eshelman Woods and her husband, Jesse. Three grandchildren; Cierra K-Lynnette “Vata" Leal, Josie Nichole Woods and Trinity Lynn Woods; nephews Abe Duncan, Andy Duncan and Austin Duncan; plus a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends and his extended family the Anthamatten family. Cecil was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Donna June Duncan. Service will be Friday, January 9, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Eshelman Memorial Chapel. Eshelman Chapel was built by the Eshelman family.
