Clella Harris Kelley

Clella Evelyn Harris Kelley was born on September 29, 1918 at Masham in rural Pawnee County to Joel and Eva Strong Harris. She passed from this life on Sunday, April 6, 2014 in Fairfax, Oklahoma having reached the age of 95 years, 6 months, and 8 days. She attended Masham Grade School and graduated from Pawnee High School with the Class of 1937. She worked in the Pawnee Abstract Office until she met Floyd Kelley. They married on January 28, 1938 at the First Christian Church Parsonage, and they were married for 73 years before Floyds death on October 23, 2011. They made their home in Ralston, and of this union seven children were born. She was a farmers wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was always cooking, cleaning, and running after kids, and she also helped with the Oklahoma Steam Engine Show for many years. She loved making quilts, and made them for all of her children and grandchildren.

Sons: Dale Kelley his wife, Joline, Skedee, Oklahoma, Lynn Kelley his wife, Sue, Skedee, Oklahoma, and Floyd Kelley II his wife, Lita, Ralston, Oklahoma

Son-in-law: Richard Romshe, Stillwater, Oklahoma

Daughters: Virginia Mitchell, Pawnee, Oklahma, Jonelle Klieson her husband, Joe, Perkins, Oklahoma, and Leann Baker her husband, Jeff, Piedmont, South Dakota

3 Great-Great Grandchildren

Sisters-in-law: Alice Benes, Morrison, Oklahoma, and Norma Kelley, Pawnee, Oklahoma

Plus many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Besides her husband, Floyd, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lavonne Romshe; her parents, a granddaughter, infant grandson, infant great-granddaughter; brothers, Durward Harris, and Cedric Harris; and sisters, Phyllis Anderson, and Beulah Harris; and two infant brothers.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 14, 2014 at Highland Cemetery, Pawnee, Oklahoma.
