Danny Ray Lawrence, 56 years, of Hominy, Oklahoma, passed away at his residence on Saturday, June 29, 2019 in Hominy, Oklahoma.
Danny was born in Post, Texas on September 25, 1962 to Melvin and Dorthea “Ruby” Lawrence. When Danny was in 2nd grade his family moved to Hominy, Oklahoma where he resided for almost 50 years.
Danny worked in the Tulsa area for over 35 years. As he helped pave the way for the Creek Turnpike working for Sherwood Construction. From surveying the land to laying the beautiful white rock of the river throughout Jenks, Oklahoma. He spent many years traveling across Oklahoma working for IKON. Where he was responsible for delivering and installing various machines used in the office setting. Danny loved getting to interact with new people and the ever changing scenery involved in his travels.
However, he finally went to school for Technical drafting and received a job in Broken Arrow. He spent the last 17 years working for Enovation Control formerly known as ‘Murphy’. He enjoyed bowling and wood working. Danny Ray was a car and motorcycle enthusiast, who loved the outdoors. Danny earned a black belt in Karate and was well known for his love of the sport. Above all though, his biggest kicker was fishing!
Danny is survived by: children, Elisabeth Lenertz, Eric Lenertz, Erin Ashford, Emily Ashford, Elijah Rector; cousins, Clara, Debra, Dora from Texas; Tommie of Montana.
Danny is preceded in death by: parents, Melvin and Ruby Lawrence; brother, Larry.
Although Danny Ray will be missed, he will strongly be remembered for his bright and cheery smile and always encouraging attitude. It is with delight knowing he has been reunited with his family in Heaven and that he is finally at peace with our Creator.

Graveside service will be Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 10:30AM at the Pawhuska City Cemetery in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
