Darrel Wayne Mote

Darrel Wayne Mote was born on February 17, 1950 in Sharon, Oklahoma to Lile B. Mote and Dottie Mae Adams Mote. He passed from this life on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma having reached the age of 63 years, 9 months, and 25 days. He graduated from high school in 1968, and then attended Alva State College before transferring to Oklahoma State University where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Economics. From 1972 to 1974 was a journeyman with the Baptist Association in the Philippines. From 1975 through 1979 he attended Seminary and received his Masters of Divinity. He enjoyed playing softball and played with the Ft. Worth Church League; OS Hawkins; Rajan Cajuns; Seminary Students League, Family Life Center; and other tournament teams At the time of his death he was serving as Minister for the Ralston First Baptist Church, Ralston, Oklahoma. Darrel is survived by his wife, Debbie; children, Joe and Lisa Woods, Shane and Lori Woods, and Jeremy and Christy Woods. Eight Grandchildren, Austin, Katelyn, Rocky, Joelee, Madison, Cammie, Joe, and Billy Joe Woods, all of Morrison, Oklahoma; Brother, Duane Mote and his wife, Carol, Sharon, Oklahoma; Sister, Kay Mote, Enid, Oklahoma; Sisters-in-law, Charlotte and Jim Denson, Arkansas City, Kansas, and Penny and Jon Kindlesparger, Ft. Scott, Kansas. Brothers-in-laws, Rick Wagner and his wife, Cara, Arkansas City, Kansas, and Ronnie Wagner and his wife Tammy, Arkansas City, Kansas. Plus numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Darrel was preceded in death by his parents, and special Aunts, Margary Darden, Martha Mote, and Ruth Crowe. Services will be held at 2:00 P. M., Monday, December 16, 2013 at the Ralston First Baptist Church, Ralston, Oklahoma with Rev. Bob Copeland officiating. Interment will be at Morrison Cemetery, Morrison, Oklahoma.
