Donald R. Jewell

Donald Ray Jewell was born on February 26, 1939 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Paul William Jewell and Ina Lucille Newton Jewell. He passed from this life on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in Helena, Oklahoma having reached the age of 74 years and 11 days. He married Luettia Parsons on June 20, 1958 in Pawnee, Oklahoma, and they made their home in Skedee. He worked in the oil field and drove a truck for the Post Office. He liked to sing in church and could always hear him singing at home. He loved to go fishing, usually at the river or at the creek in Skedee, and you could find him outside playing games with the neighborhood kids. Donald is survived by: Wife of 55 years:Luettia Jewell, Skedee, Oklahoma 4 Sons:James Jewell, Pawnee, Oklahoma John Jewell, Skiatook, Oklahoma Richard Jewell, Orlando, Oklahoma Jeffery Jewell, Pawnee, Oklahoma 2 Daughters:Lorri Banta, Skedee, Oklahoma Tonya Malone, Fairfax, Oklahoma 3 Daughters-in-law:Toni Jewell, Brandy Jewell and Denise Jewell 17 Grandchildren 20 Great Grandchildren Brother:Bill Jewell 7 Sisters:Joyce Kennedy, Darla Harrington, Kitty Starnes, Phyllis Sisco. Patricia Nuttle, Debra Yarber, and Bonnie Hunsburger. Plus a number of other relatives, and many friends. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Pauline Spears. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Skedee Assembly of God Church, Skedee, Oklahoma, with Pastor Lance Howell officiating.
