Doris Pauline Canan, 80, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away from this life on

Thursday, November 30, 2023, in the nursing home. Polly was born February 16, 1943, in Hominy, Oklahoma to A L Epperson and Doris Violet Epperson. She grew up with three brothers and one sister. She graduated from Wynona High School in 1961.

Polly met and fell in love with Harry Glenn Canan. They married in 1966 and spent the next 56 years together. Polly lived to take care of Harry. Her greatest love was spending time with him. She worked hard to give him a wonderful home. On the weekends, they would travel up to Hominy and spend time with her parents.

Polly and Harry also took time each year to travel back east to spend time with his family. Harry was an outdoorsman and Polly would just wait happily at home for him to return.

Polly is survived by her brother Mike (Vickie) Epperson, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Harry, her parents A L and Doris Epperson, two brothers John and Bob Epperson, one sister Patricia Martin.

Graveside service for Doris “Polly” Canan will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at A J Powell Memorial Cemetery. Dusty Giles will be the funeral celebrant. Arrangements were made by Powell Funeral Service in Hominy, Oklahoma
