Dorothy Jean Hollowell

Dorothy Jean Hollowell, 81 years, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 at her home in Wynona, Oklahoma.

Dorothy Jean Hollowell was born to John and Lillian (Conklin) Cobb on September 25, 1936 in Aarondale, Oklahoma. She moved to Wynona when she was 2 years old and attended Wynona Schools through graduation. She married her first husband when she was 14 years old and lived in Houston awhile running a trucking company. She divorced and moved back to Wynona where she met her lifelong partner, Dean Hollowell. They married on January 25, 1997.

Dorothy's main hobby was her cattle. She taught Dean what she knew and together started their own little cattle business, which she still kept books for. She loved to cook, which she did very well! Dorothy usually had a lot of kids in her home while her own were growing up.

Dorothy is survived by: her husband, Dean, of the home; 1 son, Eddie Leon Butcher of Wynona, OK; 2 of her sister's children she help raise: Karen D. Betchan & Mary Jeannie Votaw both of Perry, OK; 1 sister: Mary Helen Martin of Wynona, OK; 3 step-sons: Terry Hollowell and his wife, Christy, of Terlton, OK, Herbert Hollowell and his wife, Cathy, and Brian Hollowell, both of Mound Valley, OK; 1 step-daughter: Valerie Spurgeon of Hominy, OK; 11 grandchildren: Patrick, Jeremiah, Jacob (J.D.), Luke, Aaron, Steven, Clint, Kiesha, Bobby, Joey and Nicky; several great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. Dorothy will be missed by many.

Dorothy is preceded in death by: her parents, John & Lillian (Conklin) Cobb; 2 sisters: Lois Lawrence and Hazel Scott, both of Wynona, OK; 2 brothers: Pat Cobb and Jack Cobb, both of Wynona, OK.

Her family will be having private services for her due to her wishes. Fly high Dorothy!
