Eddyth Rogers Obituary Funeral services for Eddyth Rogers 87, of Wynona, Oklahoma were held Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Wynona, OK with Pastor Bill Lay officiating and the eulogy by Keith Henley. Interment in Prairie View Cemetery in Prue, Oklahoma was under the direction of Powell Funeral Home. Casket bearers for the service were Heath Rogers, Isaac Rogers, Becky Berg, Barry Jarnagan, Cody McKinzie and David Chambers. Honorary casket bearer was Jason Morrison. Musical selections for the service were "Master Of The Wind", "Beulah Land", "Earth Has Lost A Precious Jewel", "Go Rest High On that Mountain" and congregational hymn "I'll Fly Away". Vocalists for the service were Paul Fisher, Jackie Henley and Keith Henley with pianist James Jackson. Eddyth passed away on December 5, 2012 at her residence in Wynona. She was born April 9, 1925 in Searcy County, Arkansas to Jack and Viola Elizabeth (Keeling) Lay. Eddyth married William Francis Rogers on April 18, 1942, in St. Joe, Arkansas; he preceded her in death on February 8, 2009. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, canning and taking care of the grandchildren. Eddyth loved the Lord, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wynona where she taught Sunday school and enjoyed being with the people. She had made her home in Wynona since the 1960's. She is survived by two sons: Phillip Rogers and wife Glenda of Twin Oaks, OK; Quintin Rogers and wife Evelyn of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 3 sisters and 1 brother.
