Emma Pitts has left the building (like Elvis), gone way over the hill on September 25, 2020. He parents were Oren Melvin (butch) and Margaret Jean (Pete) (Fanning) Woods. Her daddy went to war and her momma went to Tulsa where she was born on October 24, 1943.
Emma gambled twice and lost both times. Oops, that was married twice; she lost, anyway. She is survived by Eugene Ponder, William Pitts and Louis Hadley and other family members she didn’t get to know due to distance. She graduated three times, trying to get an education and still couldn’t get a decent job. But she survived and laughed a lot in her life. She thought laughter was the best medicine so she dosed many people with it. She leaves few memories and many friends behind.
She was predeceased by most of her relatives on both sides and many other who did so to get away from her insidious humor. There will be no flowers, memorials, singing or crying when she is placed in her spot north of Hominy. In lieu of flowers, send donations to a veterans organizations of your choice in memory of One Veteran of Life to others who made it all worth living..
Memorial services are pending at this time.
Powell Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Online condolences and memories may be left in the guestbook at PowellFuneralService.com.
