Harry Glenn Canan, 79, of Wynona, OK passed from this life on Thursday evening March 24, 2022 at Ascension St. John Medical Center, Tulsa, OK. Glenn was born October 27, 1942 at Crellin, Maryland to Harry Wilbert and Bessie Jane (Hebb) Canan. He was raised on a farm near Kempton, MD. When he was nine, the family moved to another farm near Sunnyside, where he attended a one room school from the 3rd to 6th grade. Glenn graduated from Southern High School, Oakland, MD. He later enlisted in the US Army, serving three years, part of which was in Vietnam. Following his honorable discharge in 1966, Glenn moved to Oklahoma and gained employment with American Airlines, retiring in 2001 as a crew chief. Glenn met and married Doris Pauline Epperson in 1966, and they established their home in Wynona. Glenn was an outdoorsman; especially enjoying fishing, hunting and trapping for area ranchers, but his greatest love was his wife and them spending time together. Most recently, they spent time living in Wynona and Owasso, OK.
Those that survive and hold many cherished memories include his wife Polly; a brother Milton Canan and wife Dawn of Accident, Maryland and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Larry Canan.
Graveside services for Glenn will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 31st at the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery, Hominy with military honors being accorded by the US Army, Fort Sill, OK. Serving as casket bearers will be Scott Canan, Jarrod Canan, Luke Canan, Ryan Carter, Blake Martin and Joe Thomas.
