Glenn Henderson was born March 26, 1934, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma to Gaines and Martha Henderson. Glenn grew up with his two brothers and one sister. He grew up in the Hominy area, attending the Hominy Schools where he graduated. Glenn was active in the band and chorus. After high school Glenn went into the United States Army where he served for two years, from 1954 through 1956.
Glenn got married to Patricia Stephenson on October 20, 1973, at his in laws house in Hominy, Oklahoma. Glenn raised his two children, Jeffrey and Amy, whom he loved dearly. When Amy passed, she took part of Glenn with her. Glenn worked for Munsingwear in his early years, but then moved to the prison system, where he became a corrections officer and retired from there.
Glenn loved to fish, especially with his daughter. He spent lots of time in a bowling league. Glenn was active in the Christian Church in Hominy. He loved going to Hominy Football games. You could find Glenn relaxing in his chair watching his old westerns on TV or listening to some good old Country music. He also enjoyed listening to the old comedians.
Glenn Henderson passed from this life on Saturday, October 19, 2024, in his home. He will be missed by all who knows him and loved him.
Glenn survived by his son Jeffrey (Reagan) Henderson; ex-wife/care giver Patricia Henderson; sister Mary Howarth; four grandchildren Nicolaus, Gage, Hayden and Olivia; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Gaines and Martha Henderson; his daughter Amy Jolene Henderson; two brothers Robert (Bob) McIlroy and Marvin (Pee Wee) McIlroy.
