Harry Roy Red Eagle

Harry Roy Red Eagle, 76 years, of Hominy, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family in Hominy, Oklahoma.

Harry was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 21, 1943 to Harry and Willimina (Montgomery) Red Eagle. He graduated from Hominy High School in 1961 and continued on to receive his Master’s degree from NSU.

Harry was married to his true love, Pauline on September 24, 1960; they were married for 59 years. Harry worked as an educator for Oklahoma Public Schools for 35 years. He was also actively involved in REA-OROS-CCOSA.  

Harry is survived by: wife, Pauline (Wallace) Red Eagle; sisters, Janet Goodfox and Anita Red Eagle; daughters, Kelly and husband Rusty Dyer, and Walisa Red Eagle; sons, Paul Red Eagle, and Harry Roy Red Eagle Jr.; granddaughters, Katie and husband Jessie Stewart, Danielle and husband Derek Ebert, and Amber Red Eagle; four great grandchildren, Gracie, Amre, Callie, and Harrison Roy Ebert “HRE”.

Harry is preceded in death by: parents, Harry Jr. and Willimina Red Eagle; grandparents, Harry and Mary Red Eagle; grandparents, Clara and Roy Montgomery.

Visitation for Harry was held at the Red Eagle residence at 1429 Red Eagle Road, Hominy, Oklahoma, 74035. Indian Services was at 8:00AM, Monday, February 24, 2020 at the Red Eagle residence with Ed Red Eagle officiating. Funeral Services was at 10:00AM, Monday, February 24, 2020 at the First Christian Church in Hominy, Oklahoma with John Red Eagle officiating. Musical selections were: “The Lord’s Prayer” and “Precious Memories” by the Neighbors Quartet. Burial followed services at the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy, Oklahoma.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Michael J. Fox Foundation- P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD. 21741.
