Helen Compton Burger

Helen Jeanice Compton Burger was born on October 19, 1932, weighing only 2 pounds, in Fort Smith Arkansas to Samuel Pearson Compton and Melinda Azora Avants Compton. She passed from this life on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at her home in Cleveland Oklahoma having reached the age of 80 years, 6 months, and 16 days. She married Johnnie Burger on December 15, 1947, and he preceded her in death in 1988. She moved to the Blackburn area from Tucson and Sallisaw before 1946. She loved her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids very much. Helen is survived by: Daughter:Debby Hall and her husband, Jim, Cleveland, Oklahoma Granddaughters:Heather Hall, Jennifer Voss, Brooke Lindamood, and Leigh Brownell Grandsons:Clint Hall, Jerry Burger, Mike Burger, Zac Burger, JR Burger, and JC Burger Great Granddaughters:Kelsie Aurbrey, Kiya Hendrix, Claire Voss, Sophie Lindamood, Maggie Lindamood, Michelle Burger, Megan Burger, Kalie Burger, Payton Burger, and Marley Hall Great Grandsons:Carson Voss, Dylan Robinson, Tyler Burger, Hayden Burger, Jayden Burger, and Gavin Burger Great-Great Grandson:J J Aubrey Plus a number of other relatives, and many friends. Besides her husband, Johnnie, she was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry and Randy Burger, and two brothers, Charles and J. T. Compton. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the Blackburn Cemetery, Blackburn, Oklahoma, with Rev. David Head officiating, under the direction of Poteet Funeral Home, Pawnee, Oklahoma.
