Isaac Burton "Burt" Bearden Obituary Isaac Burton Bearden, 83, of Hominy, Oklahoma passed away December 9, 2013 at St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Burt was born on January 25, 1930 in Barnsdall, Oklahoma, to William Congrave and Vida Mae (Davis) Bearden. Burt was a graduate of Barnsdall High School in 1948. He served in the U.S. Marines Corp. during the Korean War where he was a recipient of a Purple Heart. He married Mary Bruno on September 9, 1955. He has made his home in Hominy since that time where he was a member of the First Baptist Church, the American Legion and the Hominy School Board. Burt worked as a salesman and manager in the oil field supply business. He managed the Prairie Supply w/Spress Brothers in Hominy for many years. Burt is survived by his wife Mary of the home, four children: Bobbye Hicks and husband Steve of Houston, TX; Mark Bearden and wife Paula of Tulsa, Becky Olynik and husband Dave of Chesapeake Beach, MD, Matthew Bearden and wife Camden of Tulsa; 9 grandchildren: Mackenzie Hicks, Caitlin Bearden, Alexander Olynik, Zachary Olynik, Con Bearden, Lane Bearden, Joss Bearden, Evan Barton, and Ethan Barton; a brother: William C. Bearden and wife Theresa of Bartlesville; and a niece: Beverly Szerpiak and husband Bob of Owasso. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Service was held Friday, December 13, 2013 at Hominy, First Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mark Formby and Mark Bearden officiating.
