James Fredric Maker, 64 years, lifelong resident of Hominy, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Cleveland Area Hospital in Cleveland, Oklahoma. James was born in Hominy, Oklahoma on July 6, 1951 to Fred and Marguerite Ellen (Smith) Maker. He graduated from Hominy High School. He enlisted in the United States Marie Corps on January 11, 1973. He was a Vietnam Veteran and obtained the rank of Corporal and was a Field Radio Operator. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and a Rifle Sharpshooter Badge. James worked as an engineer in the Petroleum Industry. James is survived by: his wife, Cynthia (Martin) Maker of the home; his daughter, Jamie Maker; his grandson, Bryan Kidder; his granddaughter Jasie Hamilton, all of Hominy, OK; his sister, Charles Louvier of Tulsa, OK; and his step-children, Norman Parks of Houston, TX and Laura Parks of Tulsa, OK. James is preceded in death by: his parents and his brothers; Robert and Leslie Maker. Services to celebrate James Makers life will be Sunday, November 1 at 2:00pm, at the Friends Church of Hominy, OK, with Minister David Nagle officiating.
