Jane Ann Noble

Jane Ann Noble, 87 years, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Aberdeen Village Nursing Home in Olathe, Kansas.
Jane Ann was born October 31, 1929, to Elbert Ray and Laura (Glendenning) Martin in Fairfax, Oklahoma and her brother, Elbert Ray Martin, Jr. was also born to this union. Jane Ann graduated from Hominy High School in Hominy, Oklahoma in 1947.
Jane Ann married Robert L. Noble of Hominy on December 12, 1947, at FarmHouse Fraternity, Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where they lived throughout most their marriage. Robert was a professor of Animal Science at Oklahoma State University. Jane Ann and Robert had four children: William Robert, Jana Jeanne, Robin Lea, and Scott Martin. Jane Ann's greatest joy came from raising her four children.
Jane Ann was an accomplished pianist, as well as being talented with needlework and knitting. Jane Ann typed Master's and PhD thesis for OSU students and she also assisted her husband with OSU's Black and White Sheep Show and Sale throughout many years. Jane Ann and Robert enjoyed travel, often with their close friends, Max (deceased) and Julia Koerner of Stillwater. Their travels included England, Canada, Ireland, China, Australia and New Zealand, as well as many trips all around the United States. Special times were spent with family and friends at Jane Ann and Bob's condo at Table Rock Lake in Kimberling City, Missouri. The most special of these was their 50th wedding anniversary celebration.
Jane Ann is survived by her four children: Dr. William (Kathy) Noble of Elk City, OK; Jana (William, deceased) Fulton of Crete, NE; Robin (Michael) Hart of Overland Park, KS; and Scott Noble of Lakeview, AR. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Robert (Margaret, and children Zachary, Benjamin, Elizabeth, and William) Noble, Yukon, OK; Jacqueline Jane (Jimmie) Pruitt, Elk City, OK; Brent Fulton, Newkirk, OK; Blaine (Brittany, and children Elijah, Noah, Halle, and Micah) Fulton, Gretna, NE; Morgan (Jeremy, and children Avery and Reese) Bergman, Olathe, KS; Lindsay Hart, Overland Park, KS; and Emily (Hunter) Collins, Rogers, AR. Her nieces and nephews: Georgia (Franklin) Finks, Overland Park, KS; Susan Weaver, Tulsa, OK; David (Donna) Martin, Bixby, OK; Elizabeth (Greg) Greene, Broken Arrow, OK; Bill Martin, Kansas City, Missouri; Robert Noble, Silverthorne, CO; Roger Noble, Tulsa, OK; Jo Ellen Noble Reddell, Granbury, TX; Ona Noble, Alexandria, VA; Susan Noble Zell (Bill), Hyattsville, MD.
Jane Ann was preceded in death by her husband on November 20, 2002, her parents, her brother, and her brother's wife.
A Celebration of Life Service was held 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Powell Funeral Home in Hominy, Oklahoma with the Pastor Carl Brown officiating. Pallbearers were Robert Noble, Jimmie Don Pruitt, Brent Fulton, Blaine Fulton, Jeremy Bergman, Hunter Collins, David Martin and Bill Martin.
Thank you to Robert (grandson) and Margaret Noble, JaJa Pruitt (granddaughter), and Kathy Noble (daughter-in-law) for the special music during the service.
