Jerry Hugh Eddings

Jerry Hugh Eddings, 88, of Hominy, passed from this life on Thursday, Sept 19, 2019.  Jerry was born at home just north of Hominy on Oct. 27, 1930. Jerry’s parents were Bill and Elsie (Landsaw) Eddings.

Jerry grew up in the Mound Valley area and finished all 12 years of school there.  After high school, Jerry enlisted in the Air Force and served for 4 years. He spent time in Korea during the Korean war.

Upon returning home, Jerry married Hazel Dornan of Hominy.  They began their life together in Bartlesville where Jerry drove a Dr. Pepper delivery truck for several years.  They later moved back to Hominy and Jerry went to work for C.E. Natco. After Jerry retired he spent time “flea marketing” which he loved.

Jerry and Hazel had one son, Bill, also known as “Little Bill” or “Frito Bill”.  They lost Bill in 2007 and Jerry lost Hazel in 2010, after 54 years of marriage.

Jerry was also preceded in death by his parents and his only sibling, Dona Hendricks.

Jerry is survived by a few nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

Jerry assured us he has had a good life and was ready for his “Big Reunion”.

Graveside services will be at 11:00am, Saturday, September 21, 2019, at A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery.
