John Daniel Walker Obituary John Daniel Walker, 81, of Pawhuska, Oklahoma passed away June 29, 2008 at his home in Pawhuska. John was born on June 4, 1927 to Robert and Oma Dessie (Lawhon) Walker in Cordell, Oklahoma. John married Gloria June Braning on March 27, 1947 and she preceded him in death September 2, 2004. He had served in the Merchant Marines during WWII. He moved to the Pawhuska area in 1974. He was a Farrier, had a saddle shop, and made saddles, belts and leather goods. He is survived by two daughters: Susan Hamman and Jeri Gonzalez and one son: Todd Walker all of Pawhuska, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Two sisters: Bobbie Jean Tyng of Pawhuska, Oklahoma and Thelma Vargas of California. John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sons: Daniel Wayne Walker and William Walker; one daughter: Sandra Lee Mollendor; four sisters and three brothers. Private family services are planned. Arrangements were made with the Powell Funeral Home of Hominy, Oklahoma.
