Josh Wayne Horton Obituary Josh Wayne Horton, age 28, of Hominy, Oklahoma passed away at his residence February 8, 2009. Josh was born May 31, 1980 to Danny Lee and Beverly Irene (Hollis) Horton Sr., at Tulsa, Oklahoma. Josh married Amber Lake September 15, 2007 at Hominy, Oklahoma. He is a life-long Hominy resident graduating from Hominy High School in 1998; he attended Drumright Vo-Tech to learn Welding. He was a welder by trade; employed at Green Country Submersible Pumps where he worked on building protectors, motors and welding. He attended the First Assembly of God Church. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, noodling, arrowhead hunting and camping. He is survived by his wife Amber and two sons- Triston Wayne and Riley Dean Horton of the home. His mother- Beverly Horton of Hominy; two brothers- Danny Lee Horton Jr. and wife Joy and Dillon Horton of Hominy; two sisters- Nikki Thomas and husband John Wayne and Sarah Horton of Hominy, Aunt T.C. Horton of Hominy; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Josh was preceded in death by his father, grandfather Nemi Horton and grandmother Ruby Horton, grandmother Virginia Hollis and grandfather Richard Hollis, and nephew Danny Lee Lyle Thomas. Services were Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Clifton Phelps officiating. CD music selections were Wish You Were Here , In the Arms Of An Angel , and Angels On the Moon. Casket bearers were Danny Horton, Clifford Hayes, Jeremy Lake, Ryan Dolbow, Tyler Dolbow, Ronnie Reed, Shannon Bland, Ronnie Underwood, Triston and Riley Horton. Interment will be in the A.J. Powell Cemetery. Arrangements made with Powell Funeral Home, Hominy, Oklahoma.
