Alicia Kay Katie Pie Tefertiller, was born on November 26, 1950 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Ralph L. Tefertiller and Melvina Fields Tefertiller. She passed from this life on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at her home in Pawnee, Oklahoma having reached the age of 63 years, 4 months, and 8 days. She attended Pawnee Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1969. She married Roger Pickering in 1969, and was affiliated with the Pawnee Indian Baptist Church. She was a member of the Pawnee Nation/Skidi Band/ Pumpkin Vine Clan, and a member of the Pocohontas Club.
Kay is survived by:
Children: Recia Dawn McCosar and her husband, Kenneth, Alisa Rae Argo and her husband Martin, and Brian Hyatt Taylor Pipestem and his wife, Melissa
Sister: Lesley Jen Pratt and her husband, Duane
Brother: Jack Edward Tefertiller and his wife, Renee
Grandchildren: Desmond, Andrea, Shana, Kale and Kenna McCosar, April Dawn Brumfield and her husband, Adam, Robbie Dale Argo, Ashlee, Gunner, and Larra Tefertiller
Great Grandchildren: Kayden and Emersynn Brumfield, Colt and Rhett Fagan, Kyson and Kaylee Tefertiller
Niece and Nephews: Larry Edward Tefertiller, Jackson Tefertiller and his wife, Amber, Rheanna Leigh Fagan and her husband, Cody, Jaime Lloyd Tefertiller and his wife Samantha
Plus a number of sisters, brothers, other relatives, and many friends.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Ina Tefertiller.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 7, 2014 at the Pawnee Nation Roam Chief Event Center, Pawnee, Oklahoma, with Rev. Bruce Pratt officiating. Interment will be at North Indian Cemetery, Pawnee, Oklahoma.
