Kenneth Ray Thomas Obituary Funeral Services for Kenneth Ray Thomas, 66, of Wynona, Oklahoma, were held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 4, 2009 at the Assembly of God Church in Wynona, with Pastor Roger Sheppard officiating. Interment in A.J. Powell Cemetery in Hominy was under the direction of Powell Funeral Home. Casket Bearers for the service were Archie Barbour, Doug Thomas, Wade Jarvis, John Morgan, Steve Lemaster and Kelly Steinhouse. Honorary Casket Bearers were Kent Prisock, Jared Jarvis, Charles Gaines and Paul Thomas. Musical selections for the service were: Serenaded By Angels and He Knew Me When He Was On The Cross with Sandra Jarvis as vocalist and Darla Norris pianist. Kenneth passed away April 29, 2009 at his residence. He was born December 3, 1942 in Osage, Oklahoma to James Wesley and Marie (Vermillion) Thomas. He was raised in the Wynona and Hominy area. Kenneth was a graduate of Mound Valley High School. He Married Elaine Milford August 24, 1962 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He worked for ODOT as a lab tech/quality control. He was a longtime resident of Prue and Sand Springs and had made his home in Hominy for the last year and a half. He was a member of the Landmark Tabernacle in Sand Springs. He is survived by his wife, Elaine of the home, two sons: Mark Thomas and wife Taunia of Mannford, Oklahoma; Robert Thomas and wife Kim of Newkirk, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and one brother Wesley Thomas and wife Shirley of Dewey, Oklahoma. His parents preceded him in death.
