Linda Louise Maner Chambers-Hamilton Linda Louise Maner Chambers-Hamilton, 75 years, of St. George, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Stormont-Vail Healthcare in Topeka, Kansas. Linda was born in Wildhorse, Osage County, Oklahoma to Walter and Anna (Spears) Maner on August 08, 1939. She attended school in Wildhorse and then married George L. Chambers in 1956 in Borger, Texas. They lived in numerous places, but mainly Oklahoma and Texas. While residing in Hominy, Oklahoma, Linda worked as a secretary for Hominy High School and Dick Conner Correctional Center. She later worked at Subway in Kansas, as well as various other jobs. Linda was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Wamego, Kansas and had attended the First Baptist Church in Hominy. Linda is survived by her 4 children: David Chambers and his wife Sue of Prue, OK, Jeff Chambers and his wife Lori of Kinsley, KS, Mark Chambers and his wife Stacey of Broken Arrow, OK and Linda Michelle Chambers of Wamego, KS; 13 Grandchildren; 26 Great-Grandchildren; 5 siblings: Robert Maner, Sonny Maner, Shirley Williams, Jimmy Maner and Evelyn Capps. Linda is preceded in death by: her parents, her grandparents, David & Jesse; her husband, George, on August 22, 1970; 2 brothers, Leon & David and her Great-Granddaughter, Heavenly. Funeral services were held at 10:00, Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Hominy, OK with the Pastor Mark Formby officiating. Musical selections included "If You Could See My Now" and "Go Rest on that High Mountain". Special music was performed by Kellan Shafer and Haven Chambers with the pianist being Melvina Prather. Pallbearers were David Chambers, II, Walter Maner, David Maner, Jr., Adam Yell, John Jacenko, George Maner and Garrett Shafer. Gary Maner was an honorary pallbearer. Burial followed at A. J. Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy, Oklahoma. Arrangements were by Powell Funeral Home in Hominy, Oklahoma. powellfuneralservice.com
