Loudella Haga

Loudella Lucille Haga was born on January 16, 1930 in Collinsville, Oklahoma to Andrew Jackson Dennis and Ethel Marie Epps Dennis. She passed from this life on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, Oklahoma having reached the age of 82 years, 8 months, and 16 days. She was the ninth child of twelve, and her mother passed away when she was very young and was raised by her father and older siblings. She grew up in Collinsville, Oklahoma where she graduated Valedictorian of her class and soon after began her nursing education at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa to be a Registered Nurse. She came to Pawnee in 1950 and started work at the Pawnee Municipal Hospital, and on October 3, 1951 she married Clifford Thomas Haga in Claremore. After fifty-seven years of marriage Clifford preceded her in death on July 7, 2008, after she cared for him in his final years at their home. Her entire life has been centered on caring for others. During her nursing career she has served as Administrator of The Good Samaritan Nursing Home, where she forged lasting friendships with her patients, worked for a while at the Pawnee Care Center, and of course, Pawnee Municipal Hospital. She was for a time, Office Nurse for Dr. Ross Arthurs; worked at the Cleveland Nursing Home for Daisy Taulbee; the Cushing Hospital; and was a Home Health Nurse. She also has done private duty nurse for local citizens, babysat, not only grandchildren, but other children as well. Although she was all about caring for people she was always deeply concerned for the wellbeing of others, both professionally and personally. When she wasn’t working or tending to the needs of others she enjoyed crocheting, flowers, collecting antiques of all kinds, canning, and quilting for her family and others. 2 Sons:Tom Haga, Pawnee, Oklahoma Dennis Haga & his wife, Gwen, Pawnee, Oklahoma Grandsons:Joshua Haga & his wife, Regina, Pawnee, Oklahoma Micah Haga & his wife, Christina, Pawnee, Oklahoma Jason Haga, Pawnee, Oklahoma Isaac Haga, Pawnee, Oklahoma Granddaughter:Kelli Haga, Tulsa, Oklahoma Great Grandson:Preston Jester, Tulsa, Oklahoma Sisters:Zella Mae Catlett, Collinsville, Oklahoma Wilda Welborn, Tulsa, Oklahoma Margie Rubeck, Tahlequah Brother:Wayne Dennis, Okmulgee, Oklahoma Longtime Friends:Jo Beth & Bruce Spears, Pawnee, Oklahoma Plus numerous other relatives, and many friends. Besides her husband, Clifford, she was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Ethel Dennis; four brothers, Lavell, Lloyd, Clyde and William Dennis; and three sisters, Lena Sartin, Marcella Schwab, and Emalee Cook. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 28, 2012 at Poteet Funeral Chapel, Pawnee, Oklahoma, with Rev. Allison Dickey officiating. Interment will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Maramec, Oklahoma, under the direction of Poteet Funeral Home, Pawnee, Oklahoma.
