Loyd G. Gullett Obituary Loyd G. Gullett, age 84 of Wynona, Oklahoma passed away July 3, 2009 in Edmond, Oklahoma. Loyd was born to James and Belle (Sumpter) Gullett November 5, 1924 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. He attended and graduated from Pawhuska Public Schools. He was a lifetime resident of Pawhuska, Hominy and Wynona. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Loyd married Carmen Setzer and three children were born in this union. Carmen preceded him in death. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Hominy and a member of the Cleveland Oklahoma Masonic Lodge. Loyd worked at L. & J. Welding and Machine Shop in Hominy; he owned and operated the Wynona Caf for 14 years and was an independent oil producer and rancher. When he was younger he loved to hunt and fish with his brothers, especially pheasants in Kansas. He was big OU Sooner fan. Loyd is survived by three daughters- Shelly Brandon of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Stacy Harrison and husband Ron of Fate, Texas and Lisa Krone and husband Jim of Edmond, Oklahoma; four grandchildren- Linsey and Neal Krone; Alicia and David Harrison; and a nephew- Lloyd Gullett of Cushing, Oklahoma. Loyd was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Services for Loyd were Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Wynona with Rev. David Boyer officiating. Pianist was James Jackson and Vocalist was Paul Fisher; hymns were At the Cross and Amazing Grace . Casket Bearers were Jim Krone, Neal Krone, Ron Harrison, David Harrison, Buck Venable and Dean Hollowell. Interment was in the Pawhuska City Cemetery with Military Honors by the American Legion Post #198 of Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Powell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
