Mary Dell Formby

Mary Dell Formby, age 85, of Frisco Texas passed away on Saturday, December 19^th at 2:03 p.m.  She was born January 30, 1935 in Wynona, OK to Jewel and Bertha (Millsap) Wilcoxson.  Mary married her high school sweetheart Buddy Formby on December 23, 1953.  Mary and her husband Buddy started Formby Oil Company in 1959.  She sold it in 2006, after her husband’s death. She was active in everything her children did; football, basketball, baseball, cheerleading, scouts, and band to name a few.  She was always the home room mother representative, president of the Huskie Moms, and anything else she could be involved in with her kids.  Mary Dell Loved hosting slumber parties for Mark and Chrissie’s friends.

Mary Dell was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pawhuska.  She taught Sunday school, worked with the children and the youth, chaired the bereavement committee, vacation bible school worker and baked countless cakes and cookies for Falls Creek which she often went as a sponsor.  One of the most prized accomplishment of servanthood was the creation of the all-night senior party graduation night.

Mary Dell and Buddy loved to travel with their friends.  They spent many nights entertaining their friends and their families in their homes as well as being guests in the homes, back yard and pastures of others.

Survivors include: her son Mark Formby and his wife Debbie of Pawhuska, Oklahoma; Chrissie Formby Dunham and her husband Charlie of Plano, Texas; grandsons: Matt Formby and his wife Jordan of Aledo, Texas; Ty Formby and his wife Alayna of Frisco, Texas, Bo Formby and his wife Blake of Pawhuska; granddaughters: Katie Apple and her husband Johnny of Frisco, Texas; Abbie Tracy and her husband Dick of Frisco, Texas; great grandsons: Carson Formby, Jonah Apple, Hudson Apple, Jax Apple and Emmett Tracy; great granddaughters: Kaiya Formby, Dylan Formby, Charlee Kate Tracy, Tess Formby, Lexie Formby, Reece Formby and Bowen Formby.

She was preceded in death by her parents Bertha and Jewell Wilcoxson, a sister in law Darlene Wilcoxson, a nephew Jay Wilcoxson and her husband of 52 years Buddy Formby in 2005.
