Mary Denise Fournier

Mary Denise Fournier was born February 5, 1963, in Memphis Tennessee to Cyril John and Patricia Alice Fournier. She started her life in Memphis, but then her family relocated to San Antonio, Texas for a short period of time before settling in the Sacramento, California area. She graduated from Foothill High School there in Sacramento. Mary continued her education at California State University where she studied computer programming.

After college Mary started working at McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento. She worked for a few companies in her career but spent many years at Chordline Health inputting data. Mary’s other passion in her life was animals. She was very active in the SSPCA (Sacramento Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). Mary spent a lot of her free time fostering animals and holding educational classes for school-age children about caring for animals. She was a member of WAG, where she did agility training for dogs. SSPCA is putting in an agility yard in Mary’s Honor, which she was very excited about.

Mary Denise Fournier, 60, passed on August 9, 2023, at her home just west of Hominy, Oklahoma. She is survived by her aunt and uncle Cathy and Mike Pattison. She is preceded in death by her parents Cyril John and Patricia Fournier.
