Mary Louise Clark, 78 years, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2014, surrounded by the ones she laughed with, lived for, and loved on-at Ambassador Manor Nursing Home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Louise was born June 6, 1936, in Artesia, Eddy County, New Mexico to Vee and Edna Virginia (Carroll) Thorp. She graduated from Artesia High School in 1954. In 1955, she married the love of her life, Bill Clark. She worked for the Osage County Farm Bureau Office as a Manager for 32 years and previously worked as telephone operator for Mountain Bell. She was a member of Church of the Nazarene and was an active member in the community. She loved going to church, listening to music, gardening, walking, and riding bicycles. She was an amazing seamstress and loved to make clothes for her granddaughters and lap pads for the ones in nursing homes. Her generous heart filled her home with love, fun, family and friends, including an attitude that there was always room for one more. She leaves all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family, with the knowledge that they were truly loved and they know that she loved the Lord. Louise is survived by 2 sons: Brent Clark and wife, Sheryl, of Barnsdall, OK, Kent Clark and wife Kathy, of Sand Springs, OK; 6 grandchildren: Blake Clark of Tulsa, OK, Alex Clark of Sand Springs, OK, Eden Clark of Windsor, CT, Kelsey Clark of Bradenton, FL, Tesa Slater of Mannford, OK, and Bobbie Davis of Oklahoma City, OK; 2 brothers: Sonny Thorp and wife, Evelyn, of Levelland, TX, Ellis Thorp and wife, Donna, of Hobbs, NM; 2 sisters: Virginia (Sissy) McMillan and husband, Buzz, of Lubbock, TX , and Jimmie Nell Collier of Akron, OH. Also surviving are 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bill Clark, and her sisters, Barbara Newman and Roanna Hoover. Funeral Services will be on Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Church of the Nazarene in Hominy, OK, with Pastor Carl Brown officiating. Burial will be at A. J. Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy, OK.
