Mary Martha McFarland Obituary Mary Martha McFarland, age 66, of Hominy, Oklahoma passed away Friday, August 10, 2012 at her residence. Mary was born April 13, 1946 to Robert Lee and Lucille (Harvey) Merrell in Hominy, Oklahoma. She had come from a large family of 6 sisters and 7 brothers. Mary owned a barbershop in Pawhuska for several years; she worked for the Osage Tribe Housing Authority for 15 years and most recent was a childcare provider for 3 years. Mary was of the Catholic faith. Mary was very happy through out her life, always smiling and ready to help whomever night or day. Mary had a wit and sense of humor about her; and her family was very special to her. Mary is survived by one daughter: Lois Jermer of Ohio, and two sons: Chris Whitlock of Skiatook, Oklahoma, and Neil McFarland of Hominy; five grandchildren: Alex, Luke, Sophie, Ashley and Ryan; and various other family members; nieces, nephew and will be missed by many friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers and 4 sisters. They didn't have a public service because they wanted to remember her full of life, the way she lived everyday.
