Mary Martha Parker

Mary Martha Parker, 74 years, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Mary was born in Pawhuska, Oklahoma to parents’ George Pratt Jr. and Ruth Mae (Hopper) Pratt on September 17, 1945. She attended Pawhuska High School. After graduating she married her love, Keith Parker in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. They then had two children together, Eric Parker and Mary Monique Hall.

Together they enjoyed traveling, especially to Colorado. She loved going to every Indian dance possible. She enjoyed being with family on events in Tulsa and Pawhuska area. She also loved going to the casino. Mary had an adventurous soul for many things such as rafting, riding hot air balloons, going camping, and traveling the mountains in Colorado. She had enjoyed her time as a baker and cooking at restaurants and hotels. Mary Martha kept her good high spirits of cooking for loved ones during many celebrations and holidays. Her personality will always be remembered as joyful, happy and influential. Her family will miss how she brightened the room whenever she walked in.

Mary is survived by: husband, Keith Parker; son, Eric Parker; grandchildren, Harrison Hall, Ethan Parker, Allyson Parker; brothers, Harrison, Mike, Anthony Shackelford; aunt, Marilyn Dailey; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation for Mary will be Friday, August 14 - Sunday, August 16 at the Hominy Indian Village Community Building. Services will be at 9:00AM, Monday, August 17 at the Hominy Indian Village Community Building with Scott Lohah officiating. Pallbearers will be: Mike Shakelford, Anthony Shackelford, Harrison Shackel, Eric Parker, Harrison Hall, and Mason Shackelford. Burial will follow services at the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy, Oklahoma.  

Powell Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
