Maxine Marie Shanks Obituary Maxine Marie Shanks, age 87, formerly of Oklahoma, passed away December 27, 2011 at her residence in Big River, California. She was born in Oklahoma September 15, 1924 to Ivy (Siptrugh) Donald. Maxine was President of the Women's Auxiliary for 25 years, Red Hats Club and Garden Club. Maxine is survived by a daughter- Jeannie Villegas of Parker, Arizona; three sons- Wayne Shanks of Big River, California, Donnie Cook of Montana and Bobby Cook of Texas; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; eight great, great grandchildren and one great, great, great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by parents and a son Ray Cook. The Memorial Graveside Service was a private Family Service at the A.J. Powell Cemetery. Interment was at the A.J. Powell Cemetery under the direction of Powell Funeral Home.
