Melrose Alley Rattler

Melrose A. Rattler was born on August 23, 1934 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Daniel L. Alley and Ida Mae McGlaslin. She passed from this life at her home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Sunday, September 9, 2012 having reached the age of 78 years, and 17 days. She was married to Heber R. Rattler for forty-five years before he preceded her in death on July 8, 2002. She was a longtime resident of Oklahoma City, and belonged to the Oklahoma City Pow Wow Club. She was a very loving and strong person, and was always there when you needed her. Melrose is survived by: 2 Sons:Steven R. Rattler, Pine Ridge, South Dakota Heber R. Rattler Jr., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 7 Grandchildren:Diana, Jubal, Sylas, Renee, Bach, Rachel and Sharon 13 Great Grandchildren Plus a number of other relatives, and many friends. Besides her loving husband of 45 years, Heber R. Rattler, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Valerie Gale Lincoln; and her parents, Ida Mae and Daniel L. Alley. Services will be held at Noon, Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the Otoe-Missouria Cultural Center, Red Rock, Oklahoma. Interment will be at Otoe-Missouria Cemetery, Red Rock, Oklahoma, under the direction of Poteet Funeral Home, Pawnee, Oklahoma.
