Melvin Lee Grimm Melvin Lee Grimm, 86, of Cleveland, Oklahoma, passed away on June 9, 2014 at Cimarron Pointe Care Center in Mannford. Melvin was born in Tulsa to Ora Lee and Willa Vae (Scogin) Grimm on May 6, 1928. As a young man, Melvin worked for Bill Kaufaw on a dairy farm. He enlisted in the Army in 1946 and was Honorably Discharged in March of 1947. He worked in maintenance and repaired motor vehicles. He married Edith Mare (Mullinax) Joyce on December 31, 1948, though sadly, Edith passed away April 20, 2004. They had one son, Terry. Melvin worked in the construction industry on various projects including: The Dick Conner Correctional Center, Hominy City Hospital, The First Baptist Church in Hominy, schools, post offices and a state highway project. Melvin also worked three years for Osage County, based in Hominy. November 26, 2004, Melvin married Ruby Eleanor Cook. They resided in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Melvin is survived by one son, Terry Grimm and wife, Susan, of Anderson, TX; his sister, Flora Hall of Tulsa; his half-sister, Connie Marie Joyce; his half-brother, Gerald Grimm, of Tulsa; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Melvin is preceded in death by: his parents, Ora and Willa; his 1st wife, Edith and two brothers. Funeral Services for Melvin was Saturday, June 14, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene in Cleveland, Oklahoma with Rev. Michelle Proctor and Rev. Steve Brown officiating. Pall Bearers were Jeff Cook, Tony Proctor, Ethan Proctor, Tom Grimm, John Grimm and Don Grimm. Music selection was a congregational hymn; "Victory in Jesus", with the pianist being Liz Rainwater. Interment was Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the A. J. Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Ft. Sill Honor Guard.
