Nettie Elizabeth Bray

Nettie Elizabeth Bray Obituary Nettie Elizabeth Bray, 91, of Skiatook, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, May 27, 2011, at the Barnsdall Nursing Home. She was born on August 18, 1919 in Wildhorse, Oklahoma to Edward and Ginnie (Hallimen) Montgomery. Nettie married Wesley Buddy Bray on February 15, 1942, in Hominy, Oklahoma; he preceded her in death on February 2, 2007. Together they owned and operated the Turkey Creek Grocery Store. Nettie was a lifelong area resident and attended church at the Avant House of Prayer. Nettie is survived by a daughter Sharon Woodward of Skiatook, Oklahoma; four grandchildren: Dwayne Bray, Stacey Fowler, Brian Woodward and Kevin Woodward; three great grandchildren: Paige, Haylee and Hayden, and two sisters: Pauline Carter of Hominy, Oklahoma and Wanda Butcher of Barnsdall, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Wesley Lee Bray; and seven siblings. Funeral services for Nettie were Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Hominy, Oklahoma with Pastor Richard Rountree officiating. Musical selections for the service were "In the Garden", and "Just a Closer Walk with Thee". Casket bearers for the service included Albert Gene Butcher, Darrell Butcher, David Wikel and Larry Butcher. Interment was in the A.J. Powell Cemetery under the direction of Powell Funeral Home, Hominy, Oklahoma.
