Oraldean Landreth was born on January 30, 1934 in Terlton, Oklahoma to Walter Landreth and Hazel Edgar Landreth. He passed from this life on Friday, January 4, 2013 at his home in Morrison, Oklahoma having reached the age of 78 years, 11 months, and 5 days. He attended Terlton Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1951, and served in the United States Navy from 1951 until 1955. He married Virginia VanZant on June 9, 1991 at a family reunion at Hayburn Lake, and he moved to Morrison from Oilton in August of 1992. He loved fishing, camping, and spending time with family. He was a member of the Keystone Racing Pigeon Club, and loved flying his birds. Oraldean is survived by: Wife:Virginia Landreth, Morrison, Oklahoma 2 Daughters:Darla Mathers, Fairfax, Oklahoma Dianna Thorton, Ponca City, Oklahoma 2 Sons:Don Landreth, Ponca City, Oklahoma Micheal Landreth, Pleasant View, Missouri 3 Step-Children:James VanZant Jr., Drumright, Oklahoma Donnie VanZant, Cushing, Oklahoma Angela Phillips, Cushing, Oklahoma 19 Grandchildren 10 Great Grandchidren Sister:Marie Ledbetter, Chelsea, Oklahoma Plus a number of other relatives, and many friends. Oraldean was preceded in death by his parents, and one grandson. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at the Morrison Christian Church, Morrison, Oklahoma with Rev. Roy Fleshman officiating. Casket Bearers will be Mark Moran, Randy Moran, R. J. VanZant, Bobby Beard, Abraham Kazerani, and Jarrod Burch. Interment will be at Terlton Cemetery, Terlton, Oklahoma, under the direction of Poteet Funeral Home, Pawnee, Oklahoma.
