Paul Eugene Fisher was born August 31, 1926 in Milfay, Oklahoma the son of Bennie Dill Fisher and Bertha Edna (Langston) Fisher. He passed away January 8, 2021 in Southern Oaks Care Center in Pawnee, Oklahoma.

Paul attended numerous schools throughout his youth, making friends in each new town. Throughout his life, Paul loved meeting people and making new friends wherever he went. He graduated from Wild Horse High School on May 17, 1944. On July 17, 1944 Paul enlisted in the U.S. Navy. While home on leave, he married the love of his life, Betty M. Conley, on September 20, 1945 in Columbus, Kansas. After Paul’s discharge from the Navy, he and Betty made their home in Salina, Oklahoma, and eventually moved to Dewey, Oklahoma. Paul was an avid hunter and fisherman. He often said he always worked the evening shift so he could hunt or fish all day. Paul retired from TRW Reda Pump in Bartlesville after many years. He and Betty enjoyed traveling in their retirement and enjoyed 54 happy years of marriage until her death on December 21, 1999.

Paul loved to sing in church and had a beautiful voice. He sang with many groups in churches throughout Oklahoma. He loved to visit nursing homes and sign with the residents. He was baptized in the Baptist Church, and was a member of the Wynona Baptist Church.

On July 17, 2000, Paul and Mary Gatewood were united in marriage in Coffeyville, Kansas. They moved to Cleveland, Oklahoma in 2002 where they established friendships with many of their dear neighbors. Paul was a loving and devoted husband until Mary’s passing on November 15, 2020.

In addition to his parents and wives, Paul was preceded in death by his younger brother Norman R. Fisher. He is survived by his daughters Kris Weaver and Rita Langfitt and her husband Bruce; son, Greg Fisher; grandsons Jeff Weaver and Paul Richard Weaver, their spouses and children; and stepdaughter April Todd and her husband Dean.

Services for Paul will be 2:00PM, Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at the Pawhuska City Cemetery with Rev. Bill Lay officiating. Viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, January 12, 2021 from 2:00PM-6:00PM.
