Paul Vance

Paul Lee Vance of Cushing OK left this world Saturday, February 28, 2015. He was born to Paul David Vance and Nina Ellen (Shaw) Vance on July 29, 1946. He was born and raised in Pawnee, Oklahoma and lived in Stillwater, Pawhuska and Cushing. Paul married Lynda Lou Johnston on June 5, 1970 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Paul was an avid hunter and fisherman. Paul served as Master Sergeant in the US Army serving in Germany and Vietnam He worked for a majority of his life for Shell Pipeline in Cushing, Oklahoma and Kalkaska, Michigan.  Paul retired in 1999 and returned home to Cushing, Oklahoma where he continued his passion for the animals he raised on his homestead.   Paul was preceded in death by his brother Don, father Paul and mother Nina. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lynda of Cushing, OK; sons Travis of Somerset, NJ, Bradly and Fabiano of Dallas, TX; daughter Tammy Woodin, son-in-law Danny Woodin, grandchildren Dylan, Emma and Wyatt Woodin, all of Kalkaska, MI, and father-in-law & mother-in-law Marion & Grace Johnston of Tulsa, OK. Services will be held March 7, 2015, Saturday at 2pm at Eshelman Memorial Chapel, Highland Cemetery, Pawnee, Oklahoma. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Poteet Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
