Samuel Phillip Left Hand was born on September 17, 1935 in Pawnee Oklahoma to Samuel Left Hand and Emma Sky Young Left Hand. He passed from this life on Friday, July 4, 2014 in Perry Oklahoma having reached the age of 78 years, 9 months, and 17 days. On December 21, 1955 he married Clara Effie Hardin, and she preceded in death on November 7, 2002. He has been a longtime resident of Morrison, and recently moved to Red Rock. He served in the United States Air Force as a Drill Sergeant from 1955 until 1960. He worked in management of an aircraft factory, and was an avid fisherman and enjoyed all sports. Phillip is survived by: Son, Mark Left Hand, Oklahoma; daughter, Phyllis Left Hand, Red Rock; grandchildren, Micheal and Gabrielle Left Hand, Ponca City; Lexy and Wisper Left Hand, Ripley; great grandchildren, Brekkon Left Hand, Ponca City, Hannah Left Hand of Skiatook, and Laney Left Hand of Tonkawa; brother, Theodore Left Hand of Tulsa, and two sisters-in-law, Cora Mercer, Verdigris, and Hazel Shiplett, Mannford, plus numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers,William, Sherman, and Francis Left Hand, and two sons, Timothy Left Hand and Samuel Phillip Left Hand, Jr. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 7, 2014 at the Chaui Cemetery, Pawnee.
