Prentiss L. Whited Obituary Prentiss L. Whited, age 82 of Pratt, Kansas passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Pratt Medical Center,at Pratt, Kansas. Prentiss was born February 1, 1932 to Farris Sigmon and Lillie Mae (Kendrick) Whited at Hominy, Oklahoma. Prentiss and Patience Delilah Brown were married May 8, 1955 at Great Bend, Kansas. She preceded him in death August 13, 2007. He was a retired oil field driller. He was a member of the Episcopal Church. Prentiss is survived by a son: Prentiss Lee Whited, Jr. and wife Brenda and a daughter: Tammy Thimesch and husband Chuck, both of Pratt, Kansas; 5 grandchildren: Trenton Whited, Brendon Whited, Nicholas Whited, Amy Brown and Kelly Ann Renner; 2 great grandchildren; 4 siblings: Farris Whited and wife Jean of VanBuren, Arkansas, Frank Whited of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, Jerrel Whited and wife Lee of Walla Walla, Washington and Jeanie Curtis and husband Don of Fairview, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and siblings: Clifford Whited, Kenneth Whited, Leon Whited, Fern Roberson and Bonnie Whited. Graveside Service at the A.J. Powell Cemetery will be Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Kenny Christian officiating and speaker Darrell Whited. Music selections will be "Wildwood Flower" by D. J. Whited and Tammy Thimesch "Farewell" by Jay Unger. Pall Bearers are Roger Whited, D.J. Whited, David Whited, Darrell Whited, Greg Powell and Prentiss Lee Whited, Jr. Arrangements were made with Powell Funeral Home, Hominy, Oklahoma.
