Rena Mae Herrian Sanders

Rena Mae Herrian Sanders was born on February 26, 1926 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Everett Arthur Herrian and Rosa Grace Black Herrian. She passed from this life on Thursday, January 10, 2013 in Stillwater, Oklahoma having reached the age of 86 years, 10 months, and 15 days. She married Emery Marcus Sanders on May 13, 1941 in the Pawnee County Courthouse, and he preceded her in death on November 26, 1997. They moved to the Morrison area, and she enjoyed taking care of animals, birds, her vegetable garden, and doing needlework. Rena is survived by: 3 Children:Ernest Sanders, Ponca City, Oklahoma Margie Kelly, Willow Springs, Missouri Raymond Sanders, Glencoe, Oklahoma Plus numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends. Besides her husband, Emery, she was preceded in death by four sons, Joe, Richard, Bill, and Robert Sanders, and her daughter, Betty Riley. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2013 at Poteet Funeral Chapel, Pawnee, Oklahoma with Rev. Chan Ray officiating. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery, Pawnee, Oklahoma under the direction of Poteet Funeral Home, Pawnee, Oklahoma.
