Ronda Sue Jones

Ronda Sue Jones, 60, resident of Hominy, died on Sunday, March 7, 2021 in Cleveland, OK.

Ronda was born on September 28, 1960 in Pawhuska, at the Pawhuska Hospital to Ancil  D. and Betty Sue (Lambert) Davis.  She was raised and received her education in Bartlesville, Edmond, and Hominy moving here with her family in her early Junior High years, graduating from Hominy High School with the Class of 1978.  

She was married to Henry Kent Jones in January of 1978, and they made their home in Hominy, where she was employed by the Hominy News Progress for several years. She and Kent later owned and operated the A & A Pawn Shop in Cleveland.  Ronda enjoyed playing the piano, and she shared her talent for playing the piano in several churches in Hominy including Calvary Worship Center, First Christian Church, and First Baptist Church. She was also a very talented seamstress.

Ronda is survived by her mother; Mrs. Sue Davis, of Hominy, two daughters; Jami Jones-Woods and husband Hunter of Hominy, Jillian Rumsey and spouse Chris of Pawhuska, four sons Michael Jones and spouse Christel of Hominy, Joseph Jones and spouse Lindsey of Sapulpa, Jerrad Jones, of Nashville, Tennessee, and Jordan Jones and spouse Sarah, of Prattville, Alabama; her brother  Rocky Davis, of Hominy; Eleven Grandchildren; Chelsea, Matthew, Jaxon, Easton, Jacoby, Brylee, Brynlee, Daxton and Oakley, Braden and Carson; one great grandchild; Titus Redeagle.

Ronda was preceded in death by her father Ancil Davis in 2016, and her husband Kent in 2007, and a brother Randy Davis in 2011.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service Thursday, March 11, 2021, come-and-go from 1pm-4pm.
