Rosemary Julia Mashunkashey-Jones, 80 years, of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She was born in Hominy, OK, on July 30, 1937 to Reuben Edward, and Mary Louise (Pitts) Mashunkashey. She graduated from Hominy High School, and she grew up attending the Friends Church in Hominy. She moved from Hominy to Fairfax, Virginia, and lived there for 25 years. She retired to Bartlesville, and attended the Methodist Church there, and spent her last few years in Oklahoma City.
Rosemary is survived by: one daughter, Kelly Maytubby, of Oklahoma City, two sons, Mark Jones, of Fairfax, Virginia, and Craig Jones, and wife Irine, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, four grandchildren, Bruce Maytubby Jr., Lexie Maytubby, Cody Jones, and Ben Jones, two sisters, Evelyn Neely, of Tulsa, OK, and Olivia Bristow, of Olney, Maryland, former son-in-law, Bruce Maytubby Sr., five nieces and nephews, Scott Neely, Dawn Pracht, Lisa Neely-Mantich, Robin Bristow, Michael Bristow, and numerous cousins and additional nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Reuben and Mary Mashunkashey.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Friends Church in Hominy, with the Pastor David Nagle officiating. Burial will follow the services at A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy, Oklahoma.
Visitation for Rosemary will be Friday, November 3, 11AM-8PM, at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel.
