Ruth Ann Watts

Ruth Ann Watts, 76, of Hominy, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at the Hillcrest South Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Ruth was born on May 19, 1945 in Hominy, Oklahoma the daughter of James Martin and Gladys Bell (Grier) Watts.  Ruth grew up and attended school in Hominy graduating with the Class of 1963.  Following high school Ruth began working for Hominy Auto Supply.  After several years Ruth began working at the Hominy First National Bank as a teller in the early 1970’s.  Ruth continued with the bank where she was currently working as the Vice President.  She also worked during her time off at Wal-Mart in Cleveland, Oklahoma for over 14 years. 

Ruth was a lady that always enjoyed being around others.  Her main concern was making sure others were provided for.  Ruth is described as a caring, loving and irreplaceable person.  She was an active part of the Church of the Nazarene in Hominy; longtime board member and Sunday school teacher.   

Survivors include her siblings Jack Watts of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, Linda Pope of Hominy, Oklahoma, “her children” Angie Hayes, Joslin “jay” McLaughlin, Anita Hill, Nikki Roepke, Evan McLaughlin, Jaiden Combs; grandchildren Evie Callahan, Samuel McLaughlin and her longtime and best friend Susie Howarth of Topeka, Kansas as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Brenda “Kay” Jones. 

Visitation for Ruth will be Friday, January 7, 2022 at Powell Funeral Home Chapel from 10:00AM - 7:00PM. Services for Ruth Watts will be Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 2:00PM at the Church of Nazarene in Hominy, Oklahoma with Carl Brown officiating. Burial will follow services at the Osage Cemetery in Osage, Oklahoma.
