Ruth B. Chambers Obituary Ruth B. Chambers, 82 of Terlton, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at her residence in Terlton. Ruth was born February 10, 1930 to Benjamin Harrison and Winnie (Balentine) Cross, east of Hominy, Oklahoma. Ruth and Charles Chambers were married September 4, 1948. They have lived in Terlton since 1975. Ruth was a homemaker able to stay home and raise their three girls. Ruth enjoyed flower gardening, animals and loved to be outside. Ruth is survived by her husband Charles of the home; three daughters: Patricia Sunday and husband Dennis of Terlton, Oklahoma; Cathy Downey and Brenda Emery both of Coweta, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter Chandra Kaye Jones, one great granddaughter Faith, two brothers and a son-in-law Jimmy Downey. Her funeral services were Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Grace Baptist Church in Cleveland, Oklahoma with Burten Dodge officiating. Taped CD selections were "I'll Fly Away" and "On the Wings of a Dove". Casket Bearers were family members; Dennis Sunday, Denny Sunday, Cody Crown, Terry Priebe, Trey Downey and Charlie Downey. Interment was in the A.J. Powell Cemetery with Powell Funeral Home, Hominy, Oklahoma, making the arrangements. You can visit our website at www.powellfuneralservice.com.
